Laurie just told me about the overnight dead lakes hike a couple days ago and showed me where the calendar was but too late for Aug. I signed up for the Sept hike to dead lakes. No job yet. I turned down 2 interviews today as teacher assistant because I want a teacher job. Last week went out kayaking with Laurie - I kept jumping off in the water.. Are you going out on your boat with your daughter? I'd sure love to go water skiing... I've been full time job hunting and looking for land to plant.

Thanks for the tip about going to Lake Siskiyou. It was much nicer than Lake Shasta for swimming from the shore. If you get your daughter's boat, I'd love to go out.

Hi Kit, Plan B should be ok for you coming out of Redding. We don't have an opp to venture into the low hills outside Red Bluff. Just maybe this weekend it shall. I am excited about the change of venue if it shall be! You have my cell right? Send me yours! Thanks!

Hi Kit, I called the forestry and they had not heard yet. I am sort of stalling until manana to make a plan B. It may be wet in forecast but I think it will diminish and be light as the day goes on. More later. Stay tuned tomorrow for update of finalized plan or plan B. Thanks Beth
