Hi Bob, Can u give me any info about the stretch you will b kayaking? IIs and IIIs? Do you know if helmets are required? If I can come along, I’d like to use my self-bailing soft shell kayak. I’d use a dry suit and booties to stay warm in the cold, but I’ve never done the McCloud. What’s your opinion? Am I biting off more than I can chew? I’ve nerve been inside a hard shell! Thanks for any suggestions.

Remi Vista has an upcoming event that I think will be of interest to those in We Ski II . Remi-Vista is doing a fund-raiser for their job-skills program for youth in N. Ca.

This year they are doing an “Extreme Mobility Challenge” where participants will be skiing/snowboarding, mountain biking, running and kayaking or solo canoeing all in the Mount Shasta Area. You can solo as a marathon or as a team event. Please check it on-line http://slideriderunglide.com/ .

There's a GPS class offered through Redding Rec. It has been cancelled twice, but I thought there would be more interest if people know about it. Would you send out a feeler to see if people are in fact interested? Thanks
