This was the first time that I joined the NCOA group. I had a lot of fun and everyone was very friendly to me. I was the out of shape newbie, and I felt very welcomed and included. I will definitely participate in another adventure.— Alice C

This was a great hike with amazing scenery everywhere. There were some areas that were challenging such as the Lost Coast Scramble and Bear S--- Slide but everybody made it through. All were great backpackers that improved their skills in the technical areas and everybody lived up to the challenges along the way with no bo hooing. I really enjoyed this hike with a small group - good, energetic folks. Would do it again? -
Ok, that was a little CRAZY! Note to self, turn around by 7:30! This is a tough trail to hike in the dark with a 40lb pack. Thanks fellow adventurers for making it another memory, plus just what I needed - a good workout, fresh air, companionship . . .

This was a day about water! So much snow melting, full creeks, streams and rivers, but best of all loud cascading waterfalls. Dogwoods were just starting to bloom. I agree with John, it will be just about perfect in a couple of weeks.

A great team to hike along a stream. It's pretty hard to find this much stream that is so accessible. This would be nice for a repeat in a week or two when the snow is gone near the lakes. Hint. Hint.— John W, Ret ("is Dubbin Around")

A great trip. Full moon in dogwoods starting to bloom. Greysville campground with huge trees. Got to try out new equipment in learn about fellow hikers the equipment and ideas for backpacking. Hope

i know that this event is now closing, but i thought i would try one more time. i got there at 4:50 to watch for anyone coming and finally started at 5:20. since there was no one else there to chat with, i would really use it for chance to run the hill rather than hiking. i'm feeling good as i did it also on Tuesday and had never run it twice without a days rest. i won't be signing up again for this event. -

Again, I didn't see anyone else on the hill from 5:05 till 6:05 when I had finished my 4 laps. I can go by myself anytime, this was supposed to be a GROUP outing.
