It was a very pleasant afternoon at Lassen Park with a 25 degree decrease in temperature from when we left Redding! 100 to 75. On the way back the temp increased from 66 to 86 at sunset! The hike/walk was very easy going with a few stops to gather in the serenity and beauty of the surroundings, listen to the sound of the wind and birds and the smell of freshenss in the air. Not too many people were around as expected for such a wonderful place, even on a holiday weekend! The company was great and we had a nice visit with Joy and her sister Bobbie while sipping some wine and beer and eating some snack foods. More folks should get out to this park! Joel & Jaclyn
