On Leash Dog walk - Anderson River Park

Anderson River Park (map)

Selected By: Diane

On leash walks with your dog!
Due to the heat start time has been changed to 8 AM.

Please be sure to bring lots of water for you and your dog. Please, be aware of where your dogs are at all times during the walk. There are a few places the dogs can get wet, so you may want bring a longer leash for the swimming comfort of your dog.

We will meet at the entrance to the KC grove/kiddie playland, by the large blue metal fish shaped bicycle rack.

We have enjoyed this location as it offers shade/water/and a big grassy area that we can work are dogs on. On the 13th all the dogs in attendance did some great sit/stays and recall work. All dogs must be non-aggressive and owners must have control of their dogs at all times. :-)

IF anyone knows of a different location w/as much "perks" shade, grassy area, place for dogs to swim - please let me know.

Moose & I really enjoyed meeting you all and learning some great things too. Moose now has his Black Dog collar and we'll work with that. Looking forward to more great conversation and learning new fun dog stuff. Thanks everyone!

Excellent as always! Nice to have a new couple of faces, human and dog! Glad you came, Kate and Moose! We have doggie people of all levels and all of us are willing to share our knowledge, we have a great time talking, the group is ever mixing it up and we even do a bit of training on the trail itself – wonderful way to work on your dogs stays!! Not this next Tuesday but the following, August 31, we will be playing with some Rally Obedience at the walk, so come on down and maybe learn something new!
